MicroURLConnect an AI assistant
MicroURL has a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, so an AI assistant like Claude or ChatGPT can list, view, create, edit, and delete your short links directly in a conversation — the same actions you'd otherwise do by clicking through the dashboard.
Add MicroURL as a connector
In your AI assistant’s settings, look for “Connectors,” “Integrations,” or “Custom connector” (exact wording varies by app and changes over time). Add a new one using this URL:

Sign in and approve
You’ll be sent to MicroURL to sign in (if you aren’t already) and see a screen asking you to approve the connection for your organization. Approving creates a new API key labeled “MCP connection” — visible any time under Settings → API Keys, and revocable there like any other key.
Just ask
Once connected, ask in plain language — e.g. “list my MicroURL links,” “create a short link to example.com/pricing,” or “deactivate my link with slug old-promo.” The assistant calls the right tool for you.
What it can and can't do
Five actions are available: list links, get one link’s details, create a link, update a link, and delete a link.
Deleting is deliberately a two-step process — the assistant previews what it’s about to delete and needs a second, explicit confirmation before anything is actually removed. If your assistant’s own interface shows a “needs approval” prompt for tool calls, you’ll typically see that too.
Account-level changes — API keys, custom domains, team members, billing — stay dashboard-only; the assistant can’t touch those.
Revoke access any time
Go to Settings → API Keys and revoke the key labeled “MCP connection.” The assistant loses access immediately.
