Terms of Service
Last updated: July 5, 2026
These terms govern your use of MicroURL (getmicrourl.com and shortened links served from its short-link domain). By creating an account, you agree to these terms.
1. What MicroURL is
MicroURL is a URL shortening and link-analytics service. We provide the service “as is” — it is under active, early-stage development, and features and limits may change as we build toward a stable release.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to use MicroURL to shorten links that:
- Point to malware, phishing pages, or other malicious content.
- Facilitate spam, fraud, or illegal activity.
- Infringe someone else’s intellectual property or violate their rights.
We screen submitted URLs against Google’s Web Risk database and reject known-malicious destinations at creation time, but this is a safety net, not a guarantee — you’re responsible for what you shorten. We reserve the right to disable any link or account that violates this section.
3. Plans and limits
Free and paid plans have monthly limits on links created, tracked clicks, team seats, and analytics retention — see pricing. Paid billing is not yet available; paid-tier signups are currently handled manually (contact us) until self-serve billing ships.
4. Account & data
You’re responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account, including API keys you generate. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.
5. Availability
We aim for fast, reliable redirects, but we don’t currently offer a formal uptime SLA. We’ll post status updates if we build a public status page.
6. Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate section 2 (acceptable use) or that we reasonably believe pose a security risk to the service or other users.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
